New Executives Join CitiBank Mortgage

David Smith

Citi’s Mortgage and Retail Bank [1], a leading global bank with approximately 200 million customer accounts and business dealings in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions, has appointed three new executives to its Mortgage team.

David Smith will serve as the COO of U.S. Retail Bank and Mortgage, driving business strategy, operations, and financial planning across Citi’s newly combined business, and will also continue to lead the launch of digital end-to-end mortgage originations capability. Most recently, he has served as CitiMortgage’s Head of Originations Operations and has helped leadership roles in Mortgage Default and Originations Program Management, since joining the Citi team in 2008,  leading large scale change initiatives. Smith’s organization will include ATM Network, Branch Oversight and Consumer Sales Practices, Strategic Transformation Projects, and Vendor Strategy, as well as PMO for Capacity Planning and Investment Prioritization, and Prioritization and Technology.

 

Brad Wayman

Ranjit Bhattacharjee

Taking over as the Head of U.S. Mortgage, Ranjit Bhattacharjee will lead the growth of Citi’s Mortgage business in close partnership with Retail Banking. He previously served as Mortgage’s Head of Capital Markets and Correspondent Sales. Bhattacharjee joined Citi in 2000 and has led teams in CitiMortgage and Citi Institutional Clients Group. His team will include Capital Markets, Correspondent Sales, Strategic Markets/CRA, Fulfillment Operations, BP&A, Business Controls, Vendor Management, and Mortgage Holdings.

Additionally, Brad Wayman will lead Citi’s Mortgage Sales teams as the Head of U.S. Mortgage Sales. Since joining Citi in 2003, Wayman has led teams in retail, wholesale and correspondent lending. He has been a Division Lending Executive on the East Coast for the past four years, most recently for New York, New Jersey, and North East Suburban markets. Wayman began his career in real estate and served in the Office of Public Affairs for both the White House and Department of Justice during the early 2000s. Wayman’s team will include Distributed Retail Sales, Direct to Consumer Sales and Sales Support, and Business Development.
