Hutchens Law Firm Announces Awards

The Hutchens Law Firm announced a series of awards given to their attorneys this year.

The North Carolina-based firm announced that Chris Foster has been named one of Business North Carolina magazine's 2014 Legal Elite "Young Guns." He is one of just 56 attorneys named.

Foster was also named as one of the Fayetteville Observer's 40 under 40. Foster works at Hutchens' Fayetteville office, and concentrates his areas of practice in wills, trusts, and estates, as well as business/corporate law, tax exempt organizations, employee benefits, and tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Attorney Sarah Miranda received the North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Women in Justice Award. The award is given each year to a select number of women across the state of North Carolina who demonstrates leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice, and accomplishment.

Miranda works at Hutchens' Fayetteville office, and concentrates her areas of practice in litigation and creditor's rights.

Managing partner Terry Hutchens and partner Hilton Hutchens have been selected to the 2014 North Carolina Super Lawyers. Only five percent of North Carolina lawyers are included in the list each year.

Terry Hutchens concentrates his practice in lawsuits, business law, creditors' rights, and real property. This is his seventh year of inclusion on this prestigious list.

Hilton T. "Hutch" Hutchens Jr., who has been named among "North Carolina Rising Stars" by Super Lawyers  for the last three years, was chosen for his practice in business litigation.

Finally, attorneys Lauren Thurmond and Andrew Cogbill from the firm's Charlotte office and Erik Bennington from the firm's Wilmington office have each received AV Ratings from Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating for the legal profession.
