gavel-threeManley Deas Kochalski [1], LLC (MDK), a full-service default litigation firm based in Columbus, Ohio, has announced its expansion into Pennsylvania.

MDK opened three offices in Pennsylvania last summer, in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia, to join the firm’s three Ohio offices and operations in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky, giving the firm nine offices. Scott Dietterick is managing the Pennsylvania practice.

With the expansion into Pennsylvania, MDK now exclusively serves residential mortgage servicers and investors in the five key judicial jurisdictions of Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky. Eight new attorneys joined the MDK team with the opening of the three Pennsylvania offices.

“The expansion into Pennsylvania has gone very smoothly for several reasons,” said Ted Manley, a founding partner of the firm. “Pennsylvania is a judicial state with many similarities to the other states we serve, so we were able to build out our technology to accommodate the new processes quickly and effectively. In addition, we were lucky to hire several very experienced Pennsylvania attorneys who have considerable local knowledge and relationships in each market.”

Manley said that clients were confident in the firm’s ability to represent them in Pennsylvania because of the MDK’s established quality and efficiency. All of the firm’s offices are supported by its Columbus, Ohio-based management team and proprietary case management software. According to MDK’s announcement, the three Pennsylvania offices will mirror the firm’s offices in Chicago, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Louisville.
