The subcommittee plans to meet quarterly, with the first session scheduled for April 16-17 in Washington, D.C.

"I am honored that the Appraisal Subcommittee invited me to serve on one of my profession's newest committees and look forward to making significant contributions that will help shape the future of the appraisal profession," Demopulos said.

A 20-year veteran in the field, Demopulos has represented the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) at many national conferences and is a founding member. He has met with the U.S. Senate, House members, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Demopulos has served as president and chief valuations officer for Lincoln Appraisal since January 1999 and as president of Lincoln Abstract & Settlement Services since April 2011. He is a founding partner of both firms, which are in Providence, Rhode Island.
