Bricker Welcomes Stein to Consumer Financial Services Group

David SteinProminent mortgage banking attorney David Stein has joined Ohio-based law firm Bricker & Eckler as part of the firm's Consumer Financial Services and Litigation practice groups, Bricker announced recently.

Stein brings decades of experience to Bricker. Before joining the firm, Stein was previously with national lender and servicer PMAC Lending Services as SVP/General Counsel. He held the same position with independent mortgage lender Residential Finance Corporation prior to working for PMAC.

"David's experience serving as in-house counsel for two mortgage lenders will make him invaluable for our clients," added Anthony Sharett, partner and chair of the Consumer Financial Services group. "David has established himself as a national thought leader on social media, marketing compliance, data breach and security and loan originator employment compliance for the industry."

Bricker's four Ohio offices are located in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati-Dayton, and Marietta. The firm's clients include banks, insurers, municipalities, school districts, and many other businesses and entities. Stein will be a regular contributor to Bricker's blog, financialserviceslaw.com, which reports on legal news and other financial service industry developments.

"Bricker & Eckler has built a practice focused on the unique needs of the financial services industry, and I'm excited to be a part of it," Stein said. "I am a problem solver and understand the tricky issues that regulated institutions are faced with every day. Legal counsel must be able to serve their clients by understanding what they face. I have been in the client's shoes, and I understand that they need clear counsel and direction in order to meet the ever-increasing burden of regulations. I am looking forward to helping more institutions succeed."
