New Company Offers Forensic Loan Audits to Stem Future Foreclosures

""National Loan Auditors"":http://www.nlaudit.com (NLA) is a newly formed loss mitigation company based in Walnut Creek, California, providing quality control, pre-close, and post-close auditing, risk assessment consulting, and fraud prevention to the mortgage and banking industries.
The company was developed to help loan modification professionals review loan documents for errors or misrepresentations and assist in reducing the high foreclosure rates that have overcome the real estate market, NLA explained in a press statement. The company was launched this week by financial services veteran August Blass, who will assume to role of NLA's CEO.
""NLA will serve as a catalyst to providing preventive measures for real estate industry professionals to review and assess the risk of loan documents prior to close,"" Blass said. ""There is a need in the current market to provide an in-depth look at loan portfolios and financial documents to find potential errors and expose hidden liabilities.""
According to Blass, ""NLA’s solutions will help financial institutions save millions in foreclosure dollars by providing them with an accurate report of which loans present the most risk, and from there, the appropriate measures can then be taken to mitigate losses.""
NLA's flagship product, Forensic Loan Audit Plus, exposes federal, state, county, and statute violations contained within a loan file, the company explained. Utilizing auditing and compliance technologies, NLA provides servicers and attorneys with a forensic loan audit that includes compliance analysis, post closing underwriting and analysis, and a summary of applicable statues and controlling case law.
The company's other services include, life-of-loan audit, expert witness, and NLA law portal. ""As the needs of the industry progress so will our services. We are committed to setting the standard,"" Blass said.
