DBRS Structured Finance Group Hires New SVP

Toronto-based ""DBRS"":http://www.dbrs.com, a provider of credit rating opinions across a range of financial institutions, corporate entities, government bodies, and various structured finance product groups, has hired Richard Carlson as an SVP within the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) group.

Carlson will focus on operational risk reviews for CMBS ratings, including servicer evaluations and originator reviews globally.

""As the market continues to recover, we have many new entrants in the space, and Rich's operational risk expertise will be valuable.""

Prior to joining DBRS, Carlson spent a decade performing operational risk reviews of commercial mortgage servicers and originators. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
