First American Economist Promoted to Deputy Chief

Odeta Kushi has been promoted to deputy chief economist at First American Financial Corporation [1]. Kushi previously served as senior economist, helping First American’s Economics team research, create and publish perspectives on the housing market. She is based in the company’s Washington, D.C., office at 1455 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Kushi regularly publishes insightful analysis to the First American Economics Center and speaks frequently at conferences and events. Her research has been cited in business and industry trade media, and she has been quoted in national media outlets, including Forbes, Newsweek and Fox Business News.

Kushi graduated from Northeastern University with a master's degree in Applied Economics, specializing in microeconomics and applied econometric methods, and she earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from St. John Fisher College, in both cases earning the title of Summa Cum Laude.
