Chase has announced three promotions in its originations business: Lawrence Bailey has been tapped as head of retail sales and Sean Grzebin and Greg Beliles have been named co-heads of Chase’s originations business.
Grzebin, who was previously head of retail mortgage banking with Chase, will assume the role of head of consumer originations (including home equity, retail, and consumer direct business) and Beliles will take over as head of correspondent originations.
“These changes position us well for the future and create mobility opportunities for many of our most talented leaders,” said Mike Weinbach, Chase’s CEO of Mortgage Banking.
Bailey began with Chase as a senior lending manager 10 years ago and has worked as the bank’s head of mortgage banking for California for the last four years. During that time, the region has ranked at the top in customer satisfaction and loan volume.
“Lawrence has also been one of our best people managers, with some of the highest employee satisfaction scores in Originations,” Grzebin said. “This is a well-deserved promotion for him.”
In his new role with Chase, Bailey will report to Grzebin and will manage the bank’s national team of branch-based mortgage bankers consisting of seven retail regions—Midwest, Pacific Northwest, Southwest, Southeast, Great Lakes, Southern California, and New York/New Jersey Metro.
