Mitch Oringer
Houston, Texas-based Selene Finance [1] recently announced the addition of Mitch Oringer to the position of SVP of REO and Valuations. Oringer has considerable experience in overseeing the acquisition and servicing of non-performing loans with a focus on REO disposition, portfolio management, and loss mitigation. Selene Finance is a residential mortgage company which offers creative strategies for loan resolution in order to enable homeowners to keep their homes.
Diane Bowser, EVP of Special Servicing, approved of Oringer’s hiring by stating, “Mitch’s extensive experience will not only bring a fresh outlook and strategy for our growing REO business, but skilled leadership to foster the talented team we have here.”
Oringer was most recently employed by Auction.com, where he was the VP of residential operations and was tasked with increasing the bidding activity on the site to facilitate the sale of REO properties. He has also held various management positions at Shelving Rock Partners, The National Group, and GMAC Rescap.
Oringer elaborated on his objective to fortify Selene’s relationships. “Selene is well-regarded in the industry and has a strong foundation of success in the REO space,” he stated. “I’m excited to hit the ground running and further strengthen the relationship between the company and its clients.”
