Anselmo Lindberg Oliver Name Change Reflects Addition of Partner

Doug Oliver w caption [1]Chicago-based law firm Freedman Anselmo Lindberg LLC, a provider of default and real estate services to the mortgage industry, has announced that the name of the firm has changed to Anselmo Lindberg Oliver LLC [2] recognizing the elevation of Doug Oliver to partner within the firm.

Oliver's areas of practice include mortgage foreclosure, collections, and real estate law, with a focus on contested foreclosure and collection matters. He joined the firm as associate counsel in 2005 and was later appointed managing attorney of the firm's litigation practice group. In July 2013, he was named a partner in the firm.

"The addition of Doug Oliver’s name to our law practice has been made in recognition of his contributions to the firm and to the firm’s clients," said Thomas Anselmo, founding member of the law firm.  "While the name change to Anselmo Lindberg Oliver reflects our new structure, the services we provide and our focus on partnering with our clients remains the same."

Oliver has successfully litigated many mortgage foreclosure-related issues with regards to legal terrain such as the Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure Law, the Federal Truth in Lending Act, the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act, and the federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.

An honors graduate of Drake Law School, Oliver is a frequent speaker at mortgage industry conferences, seminars, and trade association groups. His publications include "An Affirmative for MERS [3]" in DS News magazine in April 2012.
