NeighborWorks America Announces New Acting President, CEO

NeighborWorks America announced that Chuck Wehrwein will serve as acting president and CEO. Wehrwein has been the COO of NeighborWorks America since May 2012. NeighborWorks America invests in communities to create opportunities for people to improve their lives and strengthen communities. The company has generated more than $19.5 billion in reinvestment in these communities.

In his previous position, he has managed the organization's field operations, national initiatives, and applied research training, organizational assessment, and information management.

Prior to joining NeighborWorks America, Wehrwein served as the president of the Housing Partnership Exchange at the Housing Partnership Network (HPN). The company encompasses cooperative businesses such as HPN's health insurance company, property and casualty insurance company, and group buying organization.

In this role, he was responsible for overall strategic planning and outcomes, operations, budgeting, and resource development with other members of HPN's executive leadership team.
