Mortgage Capital Management [1] (MCM) announced that Karen Herr has joined the company as SVP of sales and marketing. In this executive role, Herr will coordinate the company's efforts in growing new business while expanding existing relationships by providing customer support, information, and guidance.
"Karen's ability to manage and mentor others, along with her strong interpersonal and relationship building skills make her a natural fit for this role,” said MCM CEO Dean Brown. "She has more than 25 years of experience in various aspects of the mortgage industry and she'll use this expertise to guide our sales team in helping mortgage bankers become more profitable while minimizing risk."
Previously, Herr managed a national team of underwriters for Merrill Lynch Mortgage Capital, securitizing nationwide pools of loans. Additionally, she spent 15 years at Chase Home Mortgage as a producer and manager in their first mortgage correspondent lending and wholesale home equity divisions.
"Karen has a consultative approach that contributes to MCM's strong client relationships," Brown continued. "When combined with her complete understanding of the mortgage lifecycle, she is well positioned to troubleshoot client issues, as well as offer profit and service improvements that will help minimize risk."
Herr received her bachelor's degree from William Paterson University.
