Chicago-based default servicing law firm Codilis & Associates has announced the hiring of Kelli Snowgren Garcia as a marketing representative.

Garcia recently spent nine years with the Five Star Institute, most recently in the role of Senior Executive Director of the Legal League 100. While at Five Star, she played an important role in building the Legal League 100 brand, making her the driving force behind one of the great successes in the mortgage industry. Her roles with Five Star and Legal League included marketing, editing, event planning, managing data, and web content, and she was the primary contact for Legal League members from a customer service perspective.

"We are extremely pleased and excited that Kelli decided to take the next step in her career with us here at Codilis & Associates," said Adam Codilis, VP of Codilis & Associates. "We have had the opportunity to work with Kelli at the Legal League for several years. We personally experienced her commitment to customer service and have been impressed by her accomplishments and contributions to building such a successful brand."

In addition to her work with the Legal League, Garcia served as the primary anchor and producer of the daily webcast for Five Star brands DS News and the MReport for the majority of her time with Five Star, providing industry news to an established viewership.

Codilis & Associates was founded in Illinois in 1977 to serve mortgage lenders and servicers through the state, and now includes affiliates Codilis & Stawiarski in Texas and Codilis, Stawiarski & Moody in Missouri to provide services to lenders and servicers in those states. The firms are active in the Legal League 100 and the bar associations and bankruptcy bar associations in their respective states.

In her new marketing role with the Codilis & Associates law firms, Garcia will be working with the client relations and business development team.

"Creditors’ rights law firms act as an integral conduit between struggling homeowners and their mortgage lenders, and are key to the process of stabilization in the housing market," Garcia said. "I’ve worked with so many of these firms over the last nearly nine years, and am thrilled to not only represent such an esteemed group of professionals, but to also become a part of such a reputable, forward-thinking family of companies in Codilis & Associates; Codilis, Stawiarski & Moody; and Codilis & Stawiarski. I look forward to continuing the many relationships I’ve established and of the challenges and opportunities ahead."
