Auction.com Appoints New EVP/Chief Legal Officer

Mindy HeppbergerThe nation's leading online real estate marketplace, Auction.com, has announced that Mindy Heppberger has been named the company's new executive vice president and chief legal officer.

Heppberger's 17 years of experience include serving as vice president and general counsel for Yahoo! And as an associate with Latham and Watkins, a global law firm. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

"Mindy brings to this position a wealth of experience and knowledge in addition to a deep understanding of our business model," said Jeff Frieden, CEO and co-founder of Auction.com. "We are pleased to announce her appointment as chief legal officer, where we are confident that her proven expertise and practical, level-headed approach will continue to be assets to the company."

In her new position with Auction.com, Heppberger will oversee all of the company's legal and regulatory matters, including those related to compliance, ethics, government relations, corporate governance, and intellectual property.

"I'm thrilled to accept the position of chief legal officer and to continue to partner closely with the board and executive team,” Heppberger said. "Since joining the company in March 2013, I've been able to see firsthand how Auction.com is transforming the way real estate is transacted, and I am excited for this new opportunity to help accelerate that transformation."
