The key players from the housing and real estate industry will descend on Dallas, Texas, September 14 through 16 for the annual Five Star Conference and Expo.

Indeed, this year The Five Star Institute alters everything about the way that industry conferences are executed. Instead of forcing all of its participants into lengthy programming supplemented by only a few break-out sessions, the conference curriculum is broken up into six separate mini-conferences dubbed “labs” that allow the attendees to tailor their conference experience to better fit their needs and interests. The labs each cover a broad topic relevant to housing with each speaker specifically focusing his or her discussion on a topic vital to understanding the area of interest. Collaboration within the labs is encouraged as ample time is allotted for speakers to field questions from attendees at the conclusion of their talks.

Lab topics include compliance, foreclosure, investment, property management, REO, and servicing.
The event's highlights include a special presentation from the 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush accompanied by Mrs. Laura Bush, hosted by their daughters, Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager.
