Next Thursday, September 7, the Senate Banking Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs will convene to hold an executive session to vote on the nominations of Joseph Otting to be Comptroller of the Currency, and the Honorable Randal Quarles to be member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and Vice Chairman for the supervision of the board of governors.
Otting and Quarles’ sat in a joint confirmation hearing in front of the committee back in July [1], where they fielded questions regarding Dodd-Frank rollbacks, the Volker Rule, and loosening regulations on banks. Some Democrats on the committee, including Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, remained skeptical.
The vote will take place at 9 a.m. EDT in the Dirksen Senate office building.
