Fannie Mae Announces Key Personnel Changes

fanniemae [1]Government-sponsored enterprise [2] Fannie Mae recently confirmed two high-level personnel changes within the organization.

Leslie Peeler, SVP in charge of Fannie Mae's National Servicing Organization, is leaving the GSE for a senior position with IBM's mortgage group. Fannie Mae issued the following statement regarding her departure:

"Leslie has been a key leader and colleague at Fannie Mae. Leslie has succeeded in helping families avoid foreclosure, measuring and improving servicers' work with borrowers, and encouraging the housing recovery. We wish her every success in the future. Malloy Evans will lead the National Servicing Organization’s (NSO) Product and Policy Development and Making Home Affordable teams, and Don Palumbo will lead the NSO’s Servicer Management team."

Last week the GSE confirmed the departure of COO Terry Edwards, scheduled for early 2015. In his stead, Joy Cianci will serve as EVP of Credit. Fannie Mae issued the following statement on Edwards:

"Terry Edwards has decided to leave Fannie Mae during the first half of 2015. In his time at Fannie Mae, he has had an enormous, positive impact and been a major force in combating the housing crisis and supporting the recovery. He built the country’s most successful loss mitigation program from the ground up, helping families avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes. Joy Cianci has assumed responsibility for the credit organization and Making Home Affordable (MHA). Joy is an experienced and proven leader at Fannie Mae."
