Brandon Kirkham, SVP of VRM Mortgage Services [1], recently conducted a webinar [2] for members of the FORCE [3] on what VRM offers and the benefits of agents working with VRM.
Kirkham recommended to use only licensed agents as asset managers, then discussed what VRM has to offer: tech solutions, experience and performance, scalable expanded resources, a national direct to vendor network, technology and processes, QA processes, and a unique industry-recognized training platform that includes VRM University. VRM also supports the non-profit Seeds of Hope [4], is a partner with PCV Murcor [5], and is a founder of the Mortgage Collective [6].
The benefits of agents trying to work with VRM as discussed by Kirkham are: as an agent you are an educator and advocate, as an agent you have a direct connection and expertise with your local marketplace, and you are a problem solver for issues such as property condition, financing, closing, and timeline management.
Kirkham also discussed factors that could threaten an agent’s value, such as a negative performance on execution of SLA requirements, customer service, offer management, or broad market exposure; the cost to use an agent; alternative platforms such as auctions, agentless transactions, or CWCOT; or presence in the marketplace.
