DLS Executives Discuss Challenges Facing Servicing Industry on Internet Radio Show

DLS Servicing Consultants Capital Markets TodayTwo executives from Michigan-based default servicing solutions provider DLS Servicing Consultants appeared on the online radio program Capital Markets Today, hosted by Louis Amaya, on December 10 to discuss the state of affairs of Federal Housing Agency (FHA) loss mitigation in the mortgage service industry.

During the 30-minute discussion, DLS managing director Donna Schmidt and director of business development and consulting Michael Meroney discussed the challenges servicers face with regards to loss mitigation in today's mortgage market, how servicers are dealing with the changes in the market that have occurred since the housing bubble burst more than five years ago, what WaterfallCalc.com (the DLS Servicing Consultant's FHA loss mitigation decisioning tool) can do for FHA servicers, and the premier services and solutions and that DLS has to offer to mortgage servicers.

"The topic was very relevant, given the scrutiny being placed on servicers with regard to loss mitigation," Meroney said. "With all of the recent stories in the news about servicers being penalized for inadequate adherence to government and regulatory loss mitigation compliance, I really think the discussion was needed and is informative."
