Eligible borrowers have until Friday, January 18 to submit their claim, which can be filed ""online"":https://nationalmortgagesettlementclaim.com/ocf.aspx.

In September and October, letters and claim forms were sent to eligible borrowers. Only those who lost their home to foreclosure between 2008 and 2011 and had their loan serviced by one of the five servicers--Ally, Bank of America, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fago--in the settlement can qualify.

An estimated 1.75 million mortgage loans are eligible for settlement claims nationwide.

Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto issued a statement to remind Nevadans of the deadline. Masto also encouraged borrowers to call the recently launched Home Again hotline (1-855-HLP-4-NEV) for assistance. The hotline was launched January 7 for Nevadans and has received 2,015 calls so far.

""With the national mortgage settlement payment deadline looming, I hope affected Nevadans will take advantage of this opportunity to call Home Again for fast free, and secure assistance so they can benefit from some relief,"" said Masto. ""Though the one-page claim forms are simple to complete, I encourage borrowers to call our new one-stop shop to determine what state or federal assistance may be available to them.""

According to a release from the AG's office, more than 66,800 borrowers in Nevada are eligible to receive a settlement payment, which will be at least $840.
