The Vendor Advisory Council (VAC) will provide FAS with guidance regarding responsiveness, predictability, quality, turn times, bid response rates, and technology adoption.

""FAS's vendor network serves as the ‘eyes and ears' in the field, so it's critical that we are able to openly communicate with them on a day-to-day basis,"" said Dale McPherson, president and CEO of FAS.

""Through the VAC, we'll be able to improve our communication and provide our vendors with the right tools, incentives, and training necessary to get their jobs done quickly and with the highest quality,"" McPherson explained.

To create its new council, FAS brought together vendors nationwide who agreed to make a one-year commitment to the VAC by participating in quarterly meetings and action groups to research and oversee specific areas aimed at improving process flow and relationship building. The council will also mentor FAS's vendor network.

Larry Scott of ""Cypress REO Services"":http://cypressreoservices.com/ has been an FAS vendor for nearly a year and was selected to sit on the company's Vendor Advisory Council.

""FAS's foresight to create the VAC is a perfect example of how they are continually looking for new ways to improve upon current processes,"" said Scott. ""This philosophy can only lead to greater quality and better working relationships, and in the end, higher levels of customer service.""

FAS' formation of the VAC comes on the heels of the ""company's recent announcement"":http://dsnews.comarticles/field-asset-services-makes-changes-to-enhance-vendor-relationships-2011-04-27 regarding several organizational changes designed to provide its vendors with greater education and training opportunities, increase vendor communication, and deliver high-quality services to FAS's customers.
