""Chase"":https://www.chase.com/Chase.html, the commercial and consumer banking business of New York-based ""JPMorgan Chase"":http://www.jpmorganchase.com, is continuing its eight-city tour to provide targeted, face-to-face mortgage assistance for borrowers who may be facing foreclosure.

Homeowners with a Chase, EMC Mortgage, or Washington Mutual home loan can receive initial counseling to apply for a mortgage modification or get assistance with completing mod applications.

For those in trial modifications, Chase advisors are available to help with the collection of all final paperwork required to make the loan restructuring permanent, and on-site execution of final mod agreements is available for customers who have completed their new loan applications and documentation.

Short-sale assistance will be provided for those borrowers who cannot afford their home or don't want to remain in the residence.

The eight-day local event complements the two Chase Homeownership Centers the bank has opened in the D.C. area that are available to help families who are struggling with their mortgage payments six days every week.

The D.C. event is the third in the bank's eight-city grassroots campaign, ""announced in May"":http://dsnews.comarticles/chase-to-host-foreclosure-prevention-events-in-eight-major-markets-2010-05-05. Earlier this month, Chase loan advisors traveled to Atlanta, after hosting a similar even in Chicago in May.

Additional outreach programs are also being planned for New York, Northern California, Orlando, Phoenix, and Southern California later this year.

Since January 1, 2009, Chase reports that it has offered more than 750,000 loan modifications to struggling homeowners.
