KML is the result of the restructuring of the law firm of Goldbeck McCafferty & McKeever, which has served the mortgage banking industry since 1981.

The lawyers of KML have represented mortgage lenders in Pennsylvania since 1977 and in New Jersey since 1993.

The shareholders of KML were shareholders in the Goldbeck firm and will continue to provide legal services, including loan resolution, home retention, foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, REO closings, and related legal services.

Jay E. Kivitz, Esq. is president of KML and will oversee the eviction and REO practice groups.

Michael T. McKeever, Esq. will oversee the operations team of KML and will be responsible for client services, including audit and compliance and government relations.

Lisa A. Lee, Esq. will manage the litigation and bankruptcy practice groups.

Thomas I. Puleo, Esq. is responsible for running the firm's foreclosure practice group.

Kristina G. Murtha, Esq. supervises the New Jersey foreclosure, bankruptcy, and eviction practice groups.

The current Goldbeck operations team remains essentially intact and, with an average tenure of almost nine years per employee, KML says the firm is positioned to handle the complex compliance structure of the default mortgage servicing industry.

""The attorneys and employees of KML are dedicated to delivering quality and zealous representation while, at the same time, being sensitive to the human and economic impact that delays in the foreclosure legal process represent to the homeowners and communities in which we practice and to our clients,"" KML said in a statement.

Kivitz commented, ""We are confident that KML will be a leader in the industry and will provide our clients safe, sound, transparent, responsive, and compliant legal services for many years to come.""

KML is a member of the Fannie Mae Retained Attorney Network for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is eligible to receive Fannie Mae referrals.
