The ""REO For Non Profit Mastermind Group"":http://www.reofornonprofit.org/, a real estate collective of professional REO agents, and the ""National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals"":http://nahrep.org (NAHREP) will co-host a V.I.P. charity event on Saturday, September 17th at the ICON Ultra Lounge in downtown Los Angeles to benefit two high-profile agencies working to assist struggling homeowners facing foreclosure.

The black tie fundraiser, which kicks off ""NAHREP's 2011 Real Estate and Marketing Conference"":http://nahrep.org/convention/ running through September 20th at the J.W. Marriot Hotel at L.A. Live, includes a gala casino night and live and silent auctions, as well as a cigar bar, music, dancing, food, and cocktails.

Proceeds from the event will support ""Operation Hope"":http://www.operationhope.org/, an organization that works to expand economic opportunity in underserved communities, and the i.am.angel foundation, founded by singer, songwriter, and producer will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas to help individuals and families save their homes from foreclosure.

During the event, two homeowners facing foreclosure will be identified and each given a gift of $25,000 to help them avoid foreclosure and get their financial future on track.

""This is going to be an exciting and rewarding evening for the entire Mastermind Group and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to join one of the most respected real estate associations in the country, NAHREP, to help build awareness for i.am.angel and Operation Hope,"" said Ben Salem, founder of REO For Non Profit Mastermind Group.

""Helping to keep the dream of homeownership alive is our primary purpose and we are thrilled to be working alongside such a stellar lineup of amazing and talented individuals and groups,"" Salem added.

Gary Acosta is co-founder of NAHREP. He says many of the organization's 18,000 members across the country have seen the heartbreaking effects foreclosure has on families from all backgrounds.

""[W]e are pleased to be able to take action to create opportunities for the groups and individuals out there, like the i.am.angel foundation and Operation Hope who are working to help keep homeowners where they belong: in their homes,"" Acosta said.

""Our goal is not to just rescue homeowners,"" said Elizabeth Callaway, a broker from San Diego and a member of the Mastermind Group. ""We want to help them become current on their mortgages but we also want to help them create a roadmap for successful, long-term debt management and life-long homeownership.""

Additional details and ticket information for the September 17th V.I.P. charity event is ""available online"":http://iamhope.eventbrite.com/?ref=ecount.

Anton Stetner, also a member of the Mastermind Group and a broker from Seattle, added, ""We also want to stress that anyone who is struggling to stay in their homes should take advantage of the free foreclosure prevention assistance, money management and credit counseling being offered by Operation Hope.""
