MCS Awarded Government Contract

""Mortgage Contracting Services"":http://www.mcsnow.com (MCS), a property preservation and inspection services provider based in Tampa, Florida, announced on Thursday that it has been awarded a contract with ""U.S. General Services Administration"":http://www.gsa.gov/ (GSA) to perform property preservation work for the government.
Each year, GSA manages approximately $56 billion worth of contracting dollars in providing its government customers with goods and services, including property management and historic property preservation. And with the substantial workload in property preservation still growing, executives at MCS said they wanted to ensure they met every requirement for being certified to do work on behalf of GSA’s government clientele. Company officials said the GSA certification process was labor-intensive and MCS was required to provide months of documentation proving its fiscal responsibility and capacity.
Allan Martin, CEO of MCS, commented, ""As the need for pre-foreclosure and REO property preservation continues to grow, MCS wants to be in a position to do as much work as possible to prevent neighborhood blight.""
Martin continued, ""It’s no surprise that the increase in property preservation work has spawned the creation of many new field service companies. However, with almost 25 years in the industry, MCS is the second largest field service provider in the nation - and receiving the GSA certification is a true testament to our dedication to providing the best service to our clients, one that we hope will ensure we are the number one provider by the end of 2009.""
Founded in 1985, MCS services include property inspections, property preservation, REO maintenance, and default management. MCS currently has staff located in Tampa; Des Moines, Iowa; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Dallas and Austin, Texas.
