Two Mortgage Industry Veterans Form Advocacy Firm

Two mortgage industry veterans partnered to form ""DC Solutions Group LLC"":http://dcsolutionsgroup.net/, an advocacy firm to represent the viewpoints of those in the real estate industry to policymakers who are considering mortgage-related issues.

Kevin Breeland and Stan Gordon formed the group, which combines grass roots networking and traditional lobbying strategies to ensure their clients' viewpoints are heard in Congress.

Gordon explained the advocacy firm was created to meet a growing demand for a more focused industry voice at the grass roots level in the regulatory and legislative decision-making process.

""We intend to give our industry a clearer and louder voice at the policy-making table to achieve a balanced result to protect the consumer while preserving a functional marketplace,"" said Gordon.

Breeland added that DC Solutions Group is not seeking to compete with the existing trade organizations, but to strengthen their message.

""We believe that the mortgage and real estate industry is well-represented by its respective trade organizations. However, we're fighting a huge battle against a sea of new laws and regulations, much of it knee-jerk in nature. It's going to take a lot more engagement and constituent follow up on the part of our industry to educate policy makers in Washington on the actual effects of their actions,"" said Breeland.

Breeland is a mortgage industry veteran of 33 years and spent the last several years overseeing government affairs for a major mortgage banker. He is also active in trade associations such as the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Gordon's industry experience includes serving as a General Counsel for the Coldwell Banker Residential Group, where he was involved in obtaining the amendments to RESPA. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law.
