Similar events are scheduled for the future, with one in Ft. Lee, Virginia on October 30 and another in Ft. Hood, Texas in January 2013.

Two previous events were held at Ft. Gordon, Georgia and Ft. Jackson, South Carolina in April. After visiting four bases in 2012, HOPE NOW revealed year-to-date attendance from servicemembers has reached close to 500.

""The partnership between HOPE NOW and the Army to make this event happen is a wonderful example of the power of the teamwork that allowed us to meet the mortgage assistance needs of Joint Base Lewis-McChord's warfighters and their families,"" said Greta Powell, chief of residential communities division at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Faith Schwartz, HOPE NOW executive director, added, ""Assisting and educating Service Members on their mortgage options has been a top priority of HOPE NOW, and will continue to be one.""

In addition to hosting events, HOPE NOW also offers free assistance to homeowners through its hotline at (888) 995-HOPE.

HOPE NOW is an industry-created alliance of mortgage servicers, investors, counselors, and other mortgage market participants.
