On a 1,000-point scale, home buyers rated RE/MAX 805, while home sellers gave the company a rating of 791.

""It all comes down to professionalism and a commitment to a premier level of customer service,"" said RE/MAX Chairman and Co-Founder Dave Liniger. ""Because RE/MAX agents average more experience and training than other agents, they are better prepared to deal with home buyers and sellers in any kind of market. That's why we have led the industry for well over 30 years. ""

RE/MAX also attributes some of its success to its comprehensive educational platform offered by RE/MAX University.

Following RE/MAX in homebuyer satisfaction was Coldwell Banker at 802. In the home seller satisfaction segment, Prudential came in second at 786, and Century 21 came in third at 785.

Overall satisfaction among home sellers increased from 2010, up to 779 from 742. Overall satisfaction among homebuyers was 797, a slight decrease of six points since the 2010 J.D. Power study.

The study takes three factors into account to determine homebuyer satisfaction: agent/salesperson, office, and variety of additional services.

The four factors used to determine home-seller satisfaction are agent/salesperson, marketing, office, and variety of additional services.

The study, which examines the nation's top real estate brokerages, combinesd responses from 3,680 individuals who bought or sold a home in the U.S. between March 2010 and April 2011.
J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing and information services company. The 2011 Home Buyer/Seller Study is J.D. Power's fourth study of home buyer/seller satisfaction.

Liniger praised the Realtors and brokers who, in his words, deserve the utmost commendation.

""I'm immensely proud of the agents and brokers who represent our brand in the field. This honor belongs to them, and they should be proud of themselves as well.""
