MCS hopes to bring together local code enforcement representatives, vendors, and servicing shops for the mini-summits to outline the intricacies of the default servicing industry for code officers. Attendees have direct communication with area contractors and servicers to discuss the community's particular challenges and tendencies regarding effective property preservation.
Offered at no cost to the municipalities or attendees, the mini-summits are scheduled by municipalities, and MCS then enlists local vendors and servicing shops to attend. Code officers may also use the sessions to fulfill their continuing education requirements.
MCS's first mini-summit was held August 24 in Frisco, Texas. Additional mini-summits will be scheduled in the coming months in areas that correspond with executives' schedules for tradeshows and other industry events.
Greg Carr, a Frisco code enforcement administrator who attended the company's preliminary summit, said, ""This effort is mutually beneficial for banks, property preservation companies, and city code enforcement departments to work together to achieve the same goal of preserving properties.""
