Valuation Provider Adds Home Price Trends to BPOs

The Texas-based valuation firm ""eMortgage Logic"":http://www.emortgagelogic.com (EML) said Tuesday that the company has aligned itself with what EML describes as a ""leading real estate analytics innovator"" to provide clients with a complimentary home price trends (HPT) chart.

This visual aid will now appear on all broker price opinions (BPOs) to illustrate the dynamics of the subject market's volatility. Included in the chart is the average sales price[IMAGE] [COLUMN_BREAK]

for both REO and arm's length transactions at the ZIP code level, along with the historical and current market data specific to the neighborhood.

Chris Reynolds, director of data and analytics for EML, explained, ""Most will agree that statistics derived on a CBSA [core based statistical area] or county level only paint an overall picture of a market's performance. However, at a single asset level, more granular statistics are needed in order to be relevant to that particular transaction.""

Reynolds added, ""As the market continues to struggle through turbulent times, EML is providing more in-depth and precise market information to assist our clients with the insight needed to make better decisions.""

EML says it is committed to providing quality data and analytics to support the industry's ability to better manage risk. According to the company, the new complimentary HPT charts are simply an introduction to the vast databases of public record and local market data accessed by EML, with more than 30 standard charts and graphs, including many at the micro granularity level, available to clients.
