KBW Hires New Head of Real Estate Investment Banking

Investment bank ""KBW, Inc."":http://www.kbw.com is bolstering its real estate business with the addition of Michael Errichetti as managing director and head of its ""real estate investment banking"":http://www.kbw.com/inv_banking/real_estate.html team.

Errichetti previously spent over 25 years at JP Morgan, advising clients and raising capital for large real estate

transactions. Some of the most notable deals Errichetti worked on included NewPlan's $6.3 billion sale to Centro Properties; Trizec's $8.9 billion sale to Brookfield/Blackstone; and Rockefeller's sale of its 70 percent interest in Cushman & Wakefield to IFIL.

Over the past two years, KBW has grown its presence in the real estate sector. Today, its platform includes five research analysts covering 63 public real estate companies, a dedicated real estate investment trusts (REIT) trader and distribution team, and a private equity team that raises real estate investment funds and direct equity for real estate clients.

Errichetti holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his BA in economics from Rutgers College. He will be based in KBW's New York City office.

KBW operates in the United States and Europe through its broker dealer subsidiaries, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Limited. It also offers asset management services through KBW Asset Management, Inc.
