MERS Taps Former CitiMortgage Chief as New President and CEO

""MERSCORP, Inc."":http://www.mersinc.org, which operates the Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) database, has appointed mortgage industry veteran Bill Beckmann as president and CEO.

Beckmann is former president of Beckmann Insights, LLC, an independent consulting firm. He was also chairman and CEO of CitiMortgage, Inc. He also held leadership positions within Citigroup's real estate servicing and technology group, as well as the Student Loan Corporation.

Beckmann holds an M.S. in management from the Stanford Sloan Program and a B.A. in mathematical economics from Brown University.
