American Capital Taps Freddie Mac Exec as SVP of Mortgage Investments

Christopher Kuehl was recently named SVP of mortgage investments at Bethesda, Maryland-based American[IMAGE] Capital Agency Management, LLC, the external manager of ""American Capital Agency Corp."":http://www.agnc.com/ (AGNC), a REIT that invests in agency pass-through securities and collateralized mortgage obligations for which the principal and interest payments are guaranteed by a U.S. government agency.

Kuehl joined American Capital from Freddie Mac, where he most recently served as VP, head of agency and nonagency mortgage investments.

In this capacity, Kuehl led the development and execution of Freddie Mac's investment strategies for its $700 billion retained portfolio. In addition, he was responsible for directing Freddie Mac's purchases, sales, and structuring activities for all agency mortgage products.

Kuehl also previously served as VP, head of the agency mortgage investment desk, and senior director, head of the agency REMIC desk, at Freddie Mac.
