Axis Appraisal Management Solutions Appoints Chief Appraiser

""Axis Appraisal Management Solutions"":http://www.axis-amc.com/ announced Monday that it has appointed Ron Simmons, SRA, as its chief appraiser and director of valuation services. Simmons brings to Axis a range of experience in the appraisal and technology business fields.

He operated an appraisal practice for well over a decade and is a certified residential appraiser in the Northern California area. Simmons holds the SRA professional designation from the Appraisal Institute and a degree in organization behavior, development and change management from the University of San Francisco.

He has also had a leading role in developing markets for the original zone appraisal concept throughout the central and northern California region.

Prior to his work in the appraisal industry, Simmons worked for Levi Strauss & Co. and was involved in developing one of the first computerized systems used by the company's sales force.

In the early ‘90s he held regional and national sales manager positions with systems integrators and was credited by CompuCom Systems with steering the company into new outsourcing and revenue models using a total cost of ownership and per seat pricing model. Simmons earned the Eagle award two years running, given to those in the top 1 percent of revenue generated.

Axis affiliates provide appraisal products and services to clients throughout the United States. According to the firm, its local appraisers within each market are ""compensated at a significantly higher rate"" than is typically found in the marketplace. As an appraisal management company (AMC), Axis says it UCDP-ready for compliance with GSE valuation guidelines.
