The Federal Housing Finance Agency has announced the acceptance of membership applications for its Advisory Committee on Affordable, Equitable, and Sustainable Housing to discuss a wide range of housing topics, including fair lending, fair housing, civil rights, single- and multifamily lending, and community advocacy.

Seeking input from several industry stakeholders, the FHFA’s new Advisory Committee will guide the Agency on its commitment to transparency and drafting policy that will connect equitable access with safety and soundness in the nation’s housing marketplace.

New changes to the HUD Code will promote the Biden Administration’s goal of expanding the nation’s housing inventory to meet the goal of equitable opportunities for all.
