Foreclosure sales are way down nationwide for the second quarter of 2014 with close to 115,000 reported, according to HOPE NOW's Q2 2014 data released earlier in the week. It was the lowest number of foreclosure sales reported for any quarter since HOPE NOW began tracking foreclosure data in 2007.

Approximately 421,000 homeowners used various non-foreclosure solutions from mortgage servicers in the second quarter of 2014, according to recently released Q2 2014 data from HOPE NOW, a private sector alliance between various players in the mortgage industry. The number of non-foreclosure solutions in Q2 was almost quadruple the number of foreclosure sales for the same period (115,000), according to HOPE NOW.

HOPE NOW released its latest data on loan modifications, noting that in April approximately 42,000 homeowners completed a modification for their home's mortgage. All told, the organization reported that more than 7.02 million homeowners have completed home mortgage modifications since the third quarter of 2007.

HOPE NOW, a group focused on keeping distressed homeowners in their homes, reported they had successfully completed roughly 133,000 modifications in the first quarter of 2014. Of the reported total, approximately 41,000 permanent modifications were from the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).

HOPE NOW, a private sector alliance of mortgage servicers, investors, mortgage insurers, and non-profit counselors, released its February 2014 loan modification data. The group reported that an estimated 42,000 homeowners received permanent modifications in the month, including modifications from proprietary programs and the government's Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).
