Wells Fargo, one of the nation's largest mortgage servicers, has agreed to use HOPE LoanPort's proprietary technology to partner with nonprofit housing counselors to assist homeowners with loan modifications. Wells is the 13th major servicer to sign onto the Web-based tool, which allows borrowers and counselors to streamline their submission of loan mod applications. HOPE LoanPort also has commitments from more than 1,600 housing counselors from almost 300 organizations across the country.

IndiSoft, a technology development firm that focuses on systems for the default services industry, recently appointed Vinayak Kulkami VP of the company. Kulkami is responsible for managing system and project development at IndiSoft. The technology veteran will also maintain and update internal systems to meet industry technology trends.

IndiSoft LLC, a Columbia, Maryland-based technology firm that focuses on systems for the default services industry, has named industry veteran Karun Khanna as COO. In his new position, Khanna will plan and direct all aspects of IndiSoft's business objectives, operational policies, and initiatives. He will spearhead the company's development of its platform to ensure growth, while also determining and achieving short- and long-term financial and operational goals.
