The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) announced the appointment of Gerardo Ascencio as the 2012 president of the nation's largest trade association for Hispanic real estate professionals. Juan Martinez succeeds Ascencio as president-elect. The two appointments will serve one-year terms in their new roles.

Juan Martinez is currently a member of the board of directors for the National REO Brokers Association (NRBA). In addition to his duties and participation with the NRBA, Martinez has also held several leadership roles with the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). He was recently appointed to serve as vice chairman for NAHREP and 2012 president-elect.
