NAHREP Honors Armando Falcon, Shanna Smith With Founders’ Award

The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) presented the 2011 NAHREP Founders' Awards to Armando Falcon and Shanna Smith for their efforts in advancing homeownership, particularly in the Hispanic community. Falcon served as director of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's former regulator, from 1999 to 2005. He is now chairman and CEO of Falcon Capital Advisors. Smith is CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA).

REO Professionals Host Fundraiser to Benefit Struggling Homeowners

The REO For Non Profit Mastermind Group, a real estate collective of professional REO agents, and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) will co-host a V.I.P. charity event on Saturday, September 17th at the ICON Ultra Lounge in downtown Los Angeles to benefit two high-profile agencies working to assist struggling homeowners facing foreclosure.

NAHREP Honors Advisory Team Members with Founders’ Awards

The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), a non-profit trade association dedicated to increasing the homeownership rate among Latinos, recently honored Glenda Gabriel and Craig Nickerson with the 2010 NAHREP Founders' Award. The awards were presented at the NAHREP/AREAA Real Estate & Marketing Conference last week. Gabriel, SVP at Bank of America, and Nickerson, president of the National Community Stabilization Trust (NCST), are members of the association's national board and leadership advisory teams.
