Mortgage Daily Releases Q3 List of Top 10 Servicers

However, _Mortgage Daily_ says spots 4-6 on the third quarter list could change due to recent acquisitions from Ocwen Financial Corporation, Nationstar Mortgage, and Walter Investment Management. Ocwen, which is not on the top 10 list, is expected to move into a top five position.

In addition, Ocwen, along with Walter Investment Management Corp., ""won a bid to purchase"":http://dsnews.comarticles/ocwen-wins-bid-for-rescaps-mortgage-portfolio-2012-10-24 the mortgage servicing and origination platform assets of Residential Capital, LLC (ResCap) for $3 billion.

In July, Nationstar ""acquired"":http://dsnews.comarticles/nationstar-completes-acquistion-of-aurora-2012-07-02 $63.7 billion in residential mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) from Aurora Bank and its subsidiary, Aurora Loan Services LLC. In June, Nationstar announced it ""signed an agreement"":http://dsnews.comarticles/nationstar-mortgage-acquires-servicing-rights-from-bofa-2012-06-05 to acquire $10.4 billion in residential MSRs from Bank of America.
