Van Dyke joined Fifth Third in 2001 through the company's acquisition of Old Kent Bank, where her duties included serving as SVP and manager of the Central U.S. Mortgage region and president of the Illinois bank. Since joining Fifth Third, she has served as regional president for the Michigan affiliates, also taking responsibility for the St. Louis, Indiana, and Ohio affiliates.

Fifth Third Bancorp, Inc. has agreed to pay $1.52 million in a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice, which charged that Fifth Third discriminated against loan applicants based on disability.

For the first time ever, Fannie Mae has named a five STAR winner. On Wednesday, Fannie named Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank its sole Five STAR designee for the bank's achievements as a mortgage service provider throughout 2013.
