Challenges Ahead for Mortgage Servicing in 2020

Sue Carrion, Director of Default Services, Ocwen spoke with DS News at the Five Star Conference and Expo on challenges facing mortgage servicing, technological advancements, and the economy heading into 2020. 

“I think some of the primary challenges that we’re facing today is … you can look at it from different perspectives from there’s a lot of new technology coming out, and you’re trying to keep up with all the new technological advancements to give the best experience to your customers,” Carrion said. 

She added that borrowers are changing and there are new tools to support them. It is important to balance the automation they seek while balancing costs.
