Code Violation Services (CVS) announced Tuesday a new technology platform built to address obstacles presented when homeowner association (HOA) obligations are not satisfied on a property. The new HOA Plus technology will help investors, lenders, servicers, asset managers, and title and closing companies avoid fines and delays due to unmet HOA requirements. While CVS is not the first to offer an HOA database, its database is unique in that it helps match HOAs with specific addresses.

DepotPoint, Inc., a provider of Web-based default management, short sale, and REO workflow solutions, recently partnered with Code Violation Services, Inc., a provider of code violation disclosure reports and vacant property registration services. With this partnership, users of TrackPoint, DepotPoint's technology platform for managing default transactions, can now perform code violation checks on their REO properties.

Rudy Krupka has joined Code Violation Services, Inc. as president and CEO. He brings over 23 years of business development and senior management experience to his new role. Krupka's career includes tenures with default servicing firms such as the REO disposition company Specialized Asset Management, as well as consumer product companies such as Proctor & Gamble.

As a one-stop shop for code violation reports and vacant property registrations, Code Violation Services, Inc. says it can typically verify the status of any violations within three to 10 days of order. During a three month period, the company analyzed 1,209 properties for one client. Forty-four were found to have code violations without fees yet assessed. The early detection saved the client $802,582 in penalties.

Fannie Mae has approved four new mortgage insurers to provide mortgage insurance for conventional first mortgage loans, according to a lender letter released Thursday. Two of these mortgage insurers also received approval to do business with Freddie Mac.
