City of Las Vegas to Host Home Rescue Fair

Las Vegas residents facing foreclosure can receive help during a ""Home Rescue Fair"":http://www.housingfornevada.org/PDF/R2LasVegasHomeRescueFair052011.pdf this Friday and Saturday at the Palace Station Hotel Casino.

Sponsored by the city of Las Vegas, the event was organized by ""Housing for Nevada"":http://www.housingfornevada.org/ and the ""Alliance for Stabilizing Communities"":http://www.bankofamerica.com/community/index.cfm?template=cdb_allstabicomm, a national partnership including the National Urban League (NUL), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), and the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD), with the support of ""Bank of America"":http://www.bankofamerica.com.

The fair was designed to provide homeowners facing financial hardship with resources to help them stay in their homes. Residents can take advantage of face-to-face sessions with loan specialists, housing counselors, lenders, and attorneys, and attend informative workshops on options available.

Attendees can also gain information on local services related to education, job placement, and public benefits, among others.
