property inspection/occupancy verification service to provide servicers with a snapshot of property condition and occupancy of a loan in foreclosure.

The Lake Forest, California-based company said in a statement that this service accommodates industry standard requirements set forth by the GSEs.

""Our goal is to provide greater intelligence on the overall property condition and occupancy status,"" said Lance Perry, NCCI's director of loss mitigation. ""This information will help servicers determine the best resolution for the troubled loan.""

The new service examines who lives in a property, general condition of a property, exterior condition of a property, visible repairs, and vandalism.

A customizable result form is available, and NCCI certifies all results through descriptions or third-party discussions.
