St. Louis Fed Site Tracks Regulatory Reform

The ""Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis"":http://www.stlouisfed.org/ launched a ""new Web site"":http://www.stlouisfed.org/regtimeline/ feature Tuesday, designed to help the public keep track of major regulatory developments in the government’s actions for financial system reform .
The site tracks congressional and regulatory agency hearings and testimonies, as well as key statements by House and Senate committee members. The timeline begins with March 19, 2009, when the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs held its first hearing on ""Modernizing Bank Supervision and Regulation.""
St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said, ""Our new regulatory reform timeline site provides a centralized location where the public can easily keep track of the proposals and debates occurring in Washington as Congress and the administration work to overhaul financial regulation. This timeline site, along with our 'Financial Crisis' timeline site, were designed to help increase transparency and accountability during these uncertain economic times.""
The ""regulatory reform timeline site"":http://www.stlouisfed.org/regtimeline/ is a companion to the St. Louis Fed's site dedicated to events and policy actions related to the ""national financial crisis"":http://timeline.stlouisfed.org/, which was launched in late December 2008.
Additional features to the regulatory timeline site are planned for Fall 2009.
