Pruvan Launches Photo Management Solution for Field Services Industry

""Pruvan"":http://www.pruvan.com, a service record technology provider headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, unveiled a new ""photo management solution"":http://www.pruvan.com/photo-management Monday that the company says will revolutionize the field services industry.

The technology, Pruvan 1.0, is designed to make the work order management process faster and more seamless for property preservation specialists and asset managers by allowing field crews to upload photos from the job site and document the work they've done for mortgage servicers and government agencies, virtually in real time.

Pruvan 1.0 equips the vendor community with an intuitive user interface, GPS location certification, and time-stamping functionality to upload and organize proof-of-performance photos.

""Field Asset Services"":http://www.fieldassets.com (FAS), one of the mortgage industry's most prominent property preservation and maintenance service providers, served as the beta tester for Pruvan 1.0. FAS started using the technology in early 2010 to streamline the submission and management of photos from their vendors in the field, and the company says the results have proven to be a ""game-changer.""

Terry Sadowski, an SVP at FAS, which is also based in Texas, explained to DSNews.com that what used to take the field crews a day or more to fully complete, can now be done inside of an hour. Before Pruvan, FAS' vendors were dispatched to the job site; performed their work; snapped their photos; and then moved on to the next assignment -- without being able to upload the images to show the work

had been completed until they returned to their office to email them at the end of the day.

Pruvan 1.0 has eliminated that lag time. Now, with a few simple clicks, crews in the field can capture the start and finish times of each project; certify, using the GPS on their smart phone, that they are indeed working from a certain location; and wirelessly upload photos that are tagged and time-stamped to FAS â€" all while on the job site.

Sadowski says vendors across the country are talking about how much time and money the Pruvan technology is saving them.

Over 1,500 FAS vendors are currently using the new photo management technology. Paul Palmer, Pruvan's president, says FAS field crews send an average of 500,000 photos through the system each day. At peak usage, over 12 photos per second are processed.

According to Palmer, the time it takes for FAS' field crew workers to become acclimated with the system is next to nothing. He says the software is intuitive and easy-to-use, and FAS has a dedicated training site for its vendors that turns them into ""experts"" in as little as an hour.

Sadowski also notes that Pruvan 1.0 saves the FAS staff a great deal of time on the back-end of the process when it comes to matching the job photos to tens of thousands of different work orders. Images are already associated with the appropriate assignment and organized when then come in through the Pruvan system.

Sadowski says the time saved makes it easier for FAS to deliver on its promise of a three-day turnaround for projects. In addition, he says, all photos are ""absolutely, positively accurate and objective,"" thanks to the certified service record that comes with the Pruvan process and the location and time validations that are already built into the software.

""Pruvan's solution is an ideal combination of smart technology applied to a cumbersome and subjective process,"" said Dale McPherson, CEO of Field Asset Services. ""Pruvan has taken the subjectivity out of the equation and we now have the certified, objective record we've always wanted. Pruvan fires on all cylinders for FAS â€" reduced costs, improved quality, and lightning speed!""
