Melchiorre led the HOPE NOW Alliance Technology Committee that resulted in the creation of HOPE LoanPort and has served as a member of the board of directors since its inception.

investors, and mortgage servicers to streamline the process of submitting home retention applications on behalf of borrowers at-risk of foreclosure.

Most recently, Melchiorre served as SVP of loss management for Radian Guaranty Inc. Among his responsibilities were default servicing strategy and analytics, as well as servicer relationship management. He also served as Radian's GSE and government liaison.

Melchiorre also held executive roles with LandAmerica Lender Services, MSTD Inc., and Freddie Mac. At Freddie Mac, he was a charter member of the Servicer Advisory Board which developed the Freddie Mac Servicer Performance Profiles.

""I have been involved with HOPE LoanPort since its birth at the HOPE NOW Alliance and I am excited to have the opportunity to take this important 'public utility' to the next level,"" Melchiorre said. ""We have just barely tapped into the potential of what this tool can do for the mortgage industry, the nonprofit counseling community, and communities nationwide.""

Over 3,000 HUD-certified, nonprofit housing counselors from more than 360 organizations in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico use HOPE LoanPort to assist distressed homeowners. Additionally, almost 800 mortgage servicer users are connected to the system.
