Since its inception in 1983, _Best Lawyers_ has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Inclusion in _Best Lawyers_ is based on a peer-review survey in which more than 39,000 attorneys cast almost 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas.

A published author, Leibert is a past president and director of USFN and remains active on many committees. He is also a past director of the Connecticut Mortgage Banking Association and a current member of its loss mitigation and legislative committees, and a member of the State of Connecticut Bench-Bar Foreclosure Committee.

Leibert received his Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

The law firm of Hunt Leibert & Jacobson provides legal representation in finance, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and mortgage-related litigation in both state and federal courts throughout the state of Connecticut.
